What is VESA?

The VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) standard sets standards in relation to computing equipment parts for LCD, TFT and plasma monitors. There are several versions of this standard, e.g. for support systems. This standard exists in the form of "VESA 75" to "VESA 800 x 400", each being defined by the pattern of mounting holes provided on your monitor for the Novus monitor support. The designation consists of the horizontal and vertical spaces between the mounting holes. When you buy your monitor, take a look at this standard and, because products are standardised, you will have no problem purchasing the right Novus monitor support. You will find this mounting standard on most of the thin flat screens that are available on the German market.

How do I attach my monitor to the folding arm, support carriage or Jetmaster?

Monitors with a standard VESA-75 mount can be attached directly to all Novus folding arms, support carriages and JetMasters. To attach monitors with a VESA-100 mount, you simply screw the adapter (provided) between the monitor and ball joint after turning the joint through 45°. 4 long and 4 shorter screws are supplied with the product. The long screws are for direct attachment to the monitor and the shorter screws for mounting to the adapter plate.

Exercise caution when undoing the screws in the JetMaster

A JetMaster monitor support works with the force of pre-tensioned springs. When attaching/detaching, make sure that the front articulated arm is unable to fly up in an uncontrolled manner. – Risk of injury !-
Take the tension off the JetMaster arm before you fit or remove a monitor!

What do I need to bear in mind when fitting extension support plates?

The standard plate, made of plastic, has a size of 260x170 mm. It can either be extended by adding one plate to provide a format of 260x260 mm or by two plates, mounted lengthways, to produce a size of 340x260 mm. Fitting them crossways creates a format of 260-340 mm. The fitting direction and number of extension support plates is governed by the dimensions of the appliance you wish to support.

What must I consider when attaching 4 support arms to a TSS column?

It is important to ensure stability. The use of clamps is not recommended for this combination. With loads as high as this, we recommend using the sturdy drilling screw or cable port mounting option.
